Keeping you updated on our response to Covid 19

First of all we wanted to thank you for your support during what is a difficult time for small businesses everywhere.  Whether you have bought from us, shared a post on social media or recommended us we really appreciate it.

We have kept our workshop open during the Covid 19 outbreak.  We have had to completely change the way that we work to ensure the safety of our staff and our/their families.  As a result orders are taking a little longer but we hope you will find they are worth the wait.  We have introduced social distancing in the work place which means we have reduced the staff that we have in, we don't have admin support working at present but have all staff when in making or packing orders to get products to you as quickly but safely as possible.  You may find that if you call you go to answerphone or your email isn't replied to quite as quickly but we are trying to prioritse making orders to get your products delivered.  Please bear with us, if you drop us an email you will get a reply it just might not be quite as quick as usual.

 

Orders are taking a little longer, we have our gift sets all made up in stock and so they leave the same day however other products are taking 15-20 working days when made fresh to order but it is safety over speed at present.

 

We have PPE available for staff, social distancing in the workplace, shift patterns, extra cleaning, of course even more hand washing, santisers everywhere, limited staff in the building at any one time and keeping the same set of people regularly working together, etc all to keep our colleagues and their families as safe as possible.

 

The Government have announced that shops can re open from the 15th June however at this time we have made the difficult decision to keep our shop area closed and continue with online retail only for the time being, there are a number of reasons which we hope you will understanding, firstly we are concerned that the R rate in the North West remains high, we want to ensure that we keep our colleagues and families as safe as possible.  Also whilst we are ensuring social distancing that means fewer staff in the building at any time and so opening the shop area would take a member of staff away from making and further delay your orders, we feel at this time it is better to keep it closed and keep reviewing it as the regulations change and the situation becomes safer.  We really, really look forward to welcoming you back and enjoying a coffee with you like the good old days when the risk has passed.

 

In the meantime we are allowing collections for our local customers however they will remain contactless for the time being again to protect our staff.  If you order and request collection please include your phone number, as soon as your order is ready we will call you and arrange a collection slot which is convenient to you, you will be asked to email ID prior to collection as we won't be able to check it on arrival, when you arrive if you call us from the carpark but please remain in your car we will pop your order outside and you can collect it once we go back inside.  We hope you understand this decision, we do look forward to seeing you back in the shop area soon but for now if feels a little too soon for us.   If you don't want to collect then we are continuing to use DPD, they are able to do contactless deliveries for those who are shielding and offer a really reliable service with timed delivery slots that you can rearrange to your convenience and track via their app.  We have chosen DPD Local due to their efficient service, carbon neutral commitment and recyclable packaging.
